Showcasing ABNL’s robust elements

The story of Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd. (ABNL) has been that of restructuring in the recent past, focusing on financial services, telecom, textile/fashion and agri-products. The main objective was to unlock shareholder value and create a well-diversified conglomerate that’s a play on India’s growth engines. However, communicating restructuring and realignment of business strategies effectively to stakeholders is often a challenging task.

Forging a world-class report

ABNL’s management in its 2015-16 Annual Report needed to ensure that the stakeholders clearly understood the strategies employed, developments made and the future opportunities in each of its consolidated business segments. We chose to highlight the group theme of ‘Big on Growth Based on Strong Fundamentals’ to clearly outline the company’s robust fundamentals. We also deployed dedicated spreads to showcase every aspect of the company’s most attractive segments - financial services, telecom, textiles, insulator and agri-products. Each spread allowed the readers to delve deeper into the segment’s strategies and growth potential.

The report’s design emulated the group’s design language and brand identity. Colours and images were selected to reflect ABNL’s vibrancy. Smart iconography and judicious use of graphs and charts enhanced the overall reading experience.
