Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.: A leading company in the Indian film industry
|
Situation
The company was a recent entrant in the Indian entertainment space three years ago, when they floated a capital issue. At the time, SACVL wasn’t differentiated from the rest of its peers, and having little track record in the film production business.
Approach
The company’s business model was deconstructed down to the last detail and we arrived at a new positioning for them – one that presented them as an integrated player in the Indian film industry business. Along with this, the company’s slate of films was focused on, and with every progressive year, the performance of their films has been presented as a credible measure of organizational excellence. AICL worked on not just the positioning but extended it to their presentations, website, annual reports and other communication to maintain consistency and achieve a wide dissemination of the core strengths.
Result
SACVL is today regarded as one of the most powerful companies in the Indian film industry and have been able to achieve a high PE ratio. Their capital market valuation has appreciated more than twice and their second capital offering of convertible bonds post the IPO was well received.
